Biotin, Vitamin B8: Seborrheic dermatitis
Children with a rare inherited metabolic disorder called phenylketonuria (in which the body can not break down the amino acid phenylalanine) often develop skin diseases like eczema and seborrheic dermatitis in areas of the body other the scalp. Changes that occur on the skin of people with PKU may be associated with a lack of ability to use biotin. Increased biotin food was better known as seborrheic dermatitis.
